"I
met this young man at a Fan Fair. I was visiting a
friend of mine, Robbie, who sells
items for the stars - clothes and such. The young man's
name was Dylan Grantham. He was carrying his guitar and
came over to me and introduced himself. I asked him in a
round about way to play me one, which he did -- 'Long Gone
Lonesome Blues,' and really did a number on me. I asked
Pete Fisher at the Opry if he could play one at the Opry.
Pete said to bring him a tape, so I did. When it was his
turn, he 'robbed the bank'. Everyone loved him, as I
did. He's gonna go as far in this business as he wants
to, and any way I can help along the way, I will.
We are now close friends
and visit quite a bit."
